10 Things I Love
The following (excluding Jesus) are not in any specific order.
1. Jesus
He saved me even though he knows me…mind blowing.
“6 When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. 7 Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. 8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. 9 And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. 10 For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. 11 So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.”
2. Chicken
Hmmm…quite possibly the world’s most perfect meat. If you were thinking steak, you are incorrect…it’s chicken.
3. The Word ‘Honky’
Hahahhaa, that’s a funny word regardless of it’s racist background. Say it out loud and tell me you don’t smirk a bit. If you don’t you are WAAAAY too serious.
4. Vinyl
There is just something about the look, the feel, the packaging, the sound, the smell, that I love. If you don’t understand, I can’t explain.
5. Family
My mom, my sisters, my nieces and nephews. Family is amazing thing; not only the one we are born into, but also the one that God joins us to.
6. Mexican Food
This is the greatest food on the face of the planet bar none!*
“The pinnacle of food perfection. I’m not sure I would even call it comfort food. It’s my favorite meal of all time. If I’m ever to be executed, I will request tacos (cooked and assembled my way) as my last meal.”

7. Hip-Hop
No other art form is capable of capturing the outlook and perspective of such a vast and dynamic group of people while simultaneously connecting the partaker with the present and past at the same time (IMO).
8. Dogs
Dogs have an amazing ability to make you feel happy, sad, comforted and a number of other emotions as well as caring about you with an unconditional love. Cats on the other hand are a perfect example of the fallen world we live in.
9. Clouds
Clouds constantly remind me of both the grace and wrath of God. Grace in the times when their beauty is manifested in a constantly changing watercolor masterpiece and wrath in the midst of dark storms full of hail and lightning.
10. Akira Kurosawa
I have never seen another film director, producer, screenwriter and editor that can live up to the beauty and quality of a Kurosawa film. Plus, without Kurosawa we wouldn’t have Star Wars.
“Movie directors, or should I say people who create things, are very greedy and they can never be satisfied, … That’s why they can keep on working. I’ve been able to work for so long because I think next time, I’ll make something good.”

*My aunties Italian food doesn’t count; that’s an experience rather than food.
